About Solenoid Valves
Solenoid valves use a coil to shift the spool and switch or direct the flow of air or fluid. Selection usually covers port/position combination (2/2, 3/2, 5/3 and so on), coil voltage and power, port size and flow, working pressure range, return method and wiring form. Coding rules differ a lot between brands, so please provide the complete model and coil voltage.

Should the coil be DC or AC?
Match the existing control circuit voltage, and check power consumption, terminal style and indicator option. When replacing a coil only, it must match the original valve specification.
How to choose between 5/2 and 5/3 valves?
It depends on the mid-position behaviour the actuator needs (blocked, exhausted or floating) and whether the signal is single or double solenoid; verify against the machine schematic.
Are replacements available for obsolete valves?
Yes, matched by port positions, voltage, port size and mounting interface, with differences in flow characteristics and manifold specification noted.
